New Lyon signing Ernest Nuamah has expressed his delight in joining the French outfit stating that it was the best move to consider at this point in his career.
The former Right to Dream Academy player completed a big move to the former French champions after a fruitful spell with FC Norsdaelland.
The 19-year-old was initially linked with other top clubs including Paris Saint Germain, Ajax Amsterdam who considered him as a long-term replacement for Mohammed Kudus and Tottenham Hotspurs among other clubs.
However, Nuamah believes that regardless of the many interests, he made the right decision by signing for Lyon where he believes, their style suits his skillset well.
“I think it was the right choice, lots of clubs were interested in me, you know there were a lot of discussions.
“The most important thing is this move, I feel like this is the best move for me.
“I still wanna develop as a player, and Lyon is the best move for me.
“I feel like I fit more in the team, because of the style of play and the structures here,” he said at his unveiling.
The pacey forward who joins Abedi Ayew Pele, John Mensah, and Michael Essien as the fourth player from Ghana to play for the French powerhouse, is looking to get settled in fast as he did at FC Nordsjaelland.
Before moving to France, Nuamah had already scored five goals in four games for Nordsjaelland this season, building on his prolific performance from the previous campaign, in which he scored 12 goals and added four assists for the Danish team.
