Ghanaian winger Kamaldeen Sulemana has returned to action for Atalanta after spending several months on the sidelines through injury. The 24-year-old made his comeback on Thursday night, coming off the bench in the 84th minute to replace Nicola Zalewski as Atalanta played out a 2-2 draw against Fiorentina in Serie A.Sulemana had been sidelined since suffering a knee injury during a pre-season friendly against Schalke 04, which ruled him out of action for several months. The injury was diagnosed as a second-degree tear of the medial collateral ligament (MCL) in his left knee, with the Ghana international requiring an extended rehabilitation period. His return will come as a boost for Atalanta as they look to strengthen their options in attack for the remainder of the campaign.Sulemana joined the Italian side from Southampton last summer and recorded three goals and two assists in 37 appearances during his first season at the club. The former Southampton winger will now hope to regain full match fitness and play a more prominent role as the season progresses.
