Karela United have officially joined the race to sign Hohoe United captain Usman Safianu ahead of the new transfer window, with the midfielder attracting growing attention across the Ghana Premier League.

The now Tamale-based club are believed to be monitoring the player closely as they look to strengthen their squad with experienced domestic talent for the upcoming season.

Safianu has been one of Hohoe United’s standout performers, contributing four goals in 26 appearances this campaign and playing a key leadership role for the ‘Muje Gabah’ side.

His consistent displays in midfield have not gone unnoticed, with at least three other Ghana Premier League clubs also keeping tabs on his situation.

Defending champions Medeama SC are also reportedly interested in the player, setting up what could be a competitive transfer battle in the coming weeks.

With interest continuing to rise, Usman Safianu is expected to make a decision on his future once the transfer window officially opens.
