American-based striker who is knocking on the doors of the Black Stars, Kelvin Yeboah, registered his 8th league goal of the season for Minnesota United in their 2-1 reverse against New England Revolution on Sunday in the MLS.
Yeboah converted a spot-kick in the 26th minute to peck the scoring at 1-1 after the home side had taken a 5th minute lead.
Going into the game on the back of a two-game goal drought in which he squandered twoKelvin Yeboah penalties against Austin FC, the 26-year-old former Genoa forward restored his scoring confidence by netting his 8 goal of the campaign.
He was replaced on the 72nd minute as New England went ahead to secure a crucial home victory over the Loon.
Yeboah’s has been winless in their last three games, drawing one while losing the rest.
Minnesota United’s squad during the Secondary Transfer Window of 2024 and scored on his debut game in the league.
He has declared his intentions to represent Ghana at the senior level despite turning up for Italy at U21 level.
The forward, who is biologically related to Ghana great Tony Yeboah, made his debut with Italy’s U21 side in 2021 against Luxembourg U21, where Italy secured a 3–0 victory.
He made four game appearances with the Italian youth side during UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifiers.
