Greater Accra booked their place in the final of the 2026 KGL Foundation Inter-Regional U17 Colts Championship with a convincing 2-0 victory over Brong Ahafo at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence on Saturday, October 10.The capital side made an explosive start, with Desmond Asare opening the scoring in the third minute. His impressive display earned him the Man of the Match award, recognising his influential contribution to the victory.Samuel Oduro sealed the win in the 72nd minute, doubling Greater Accra’s advantage and ensuring their passage to Sunday’s final against Western Region at the GFA technical centre. The final promises an intriguing contest between two ambitious sides. Western Region, last year’s runners-up, advanced after defeating Prempeh Elite Academy on penalties and will be eager to avenge their 2025 final defeat to Ashanti Region.Greater Accra, meanwhile, have the opportunity to claim the title after failing to secure a podium finish in the previous edition.Sponsored by the KGL Foundation, the championship forms part of the Ghana Football Association’s Talent Development Scheme (TDS), providing a competitive platform to identify, develop and nurture Ghana’s next generation of football talent.
