King Smade, founder of Afronation, is calling for unity in Africa’s events industry.

“Why are we competing when we can collaborate?” he asked in an interview on Channel One TV’s The Chat on Saturday December 20, highlighting the need for promoters, artistes, and stakeholders to work together.

Smade believes collaboration can create bigger, more impactful events benefiting everyone.

He also shared his experience with identity in the industry: “I see myself as African, but they see me as Nigerian.”

He’s pushing for a more inclusive and cooperative approach to event management in Africa, urging promoters to move beyond rivalry and work together to elevate the music and events scene.
