Yesterday, July 11 2024, Akosua Asaa Manu (Kozie), the Parliamentary Candidate for the Adentan Constituency, demonstrated her commitment to the welfare of market women in the area.

She generously provided interest-free loans to numerous women at the Adentan market, aiming to enhance their trading activities and improve their livelihoods.

The event, supported by Madam Vivian Bosompem (Adwoa Court), the Constituency Women Organizer, witnessed Kozie interacting with the market women, understanding their challenges and offering guidance and encouragement.

This initiative, an initial seed fund of GHC50,000 to be disbursed among 25 market women, each taking a sum of GHC2,000, is a testament to Kozie’s dedication to the empowerment of women and her resolve to foster economic growth in the Adentan Constituency.

By providing access to capital, she is enabling these hardworking women to expand their businesses, increase their income and contribute to the well-being of their families and the community.

To sweeten the deal even further, aside the initial 25 women beneficiaries of the GHC50,000 seed fund, 5 extra women will benefit from a GHC10,000 facility every month in order to escalate the initiate and reach more market women.

Kozie’s gesture has been widely appreciated by the market women, who expressed their gratitude for her support and leadership.

This event has further strengthened her connection with the constituents, providing effective leadership and demonstrating her willingness to listen and act on their needs.
