Ghanaian forward Kwaku Karikari is being linked with a move from Zelez. Pancevo to Romanian club FC Rapid 1923, only days after completing a permanent transfer to the Serbian side.
Karikari, 24, joined Zelez. Pancevo from AC Horsens on 28 July for a reported 600,000 fee. The centre-forward signed a contract running until 30 June 2029, but his future is already the subject of speculation with Rapid 1923.
The move would come shortly after Karikari returned to Zelez. Pancevo following a season-long loan spell at AC Horsens. He spent the 2025-26 campaign with the Danish club before formally joining them permanently at the end of June, ahead of his return to Serbia.
Karikari has yet to make an appearance for Zelez. Pancevo this season. The Serbian club have played one match in both the UEFA Conference League qualifying round and the domestic Superliga, with the forward not featuring in either competition.
The Obuasi-born striker began his senior career in Ghana with Liberty Professionals after developing at Liberty Professionals Under-19s. He later moved to Serbia, joining Jedinstvo Ub in 2022 before switching to AC Horsens in 2024.
Karikaris market value is listed at 2m, while his current agreement with Zelez. Pancevo remains in place until 2029.
