Black Stars midfielder Kwasi Sibo has revealed his ambition to continue playing at the highest level in Europe, saying he is ready to embrace a new challenge after becoming a free agent.

The 27-year-old, who featured in all four of Ghana’s matches at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, recently ended his stay with Spanish side Real Oviedo and is now searching for his next club.

Speaking in an interview with 3Sports, Sibo made it clear that his priority is to remain in Europe and, if possible, join a club competing in the UEFA Champions League.

“I still have the strength to be in Europe, to compete. If my agent is able to find a team that will be competing in the Champions League, I’m always at service and I’m ready to face that challenge,” he said.

Sibo also reflected on his experience of facing England midfielder Jude Bellingham during Ghana’s World Cup campaign, admitting it was a special moment despite having already played in Spain.

“It was still a big deal for me despite playing in La Liga because I had never played against Jude. Our first league game, he was injured, and in our second league game, I got a red card,” he added.

With his contract at Real Oviedo now over, Sibo will be hoping his impressive World Cup displays help him secure a move to a club competing at the highest level in European football.
