Ghanaian Afro-fusion duo Lali X Lola have been selected as Ghana’s representative in DJ Edu’s weekly “10 in 10” music feature on the BBC World Service programme This Is Africa.
Their song Mad Over Me, featuring producer Rappidd, appeared in the programme’s 11 July 2026 edition, where DJ Edu unveiled ten emerging songs from across Africa.
The announcement was made at approximately 33 minutes and 17 seconds into the broadcast following an interview with Zimbabwean musician Gemma Griffiths.

DJ Edu’s “10 in 10” is a recurring editorial segment on This Is Africa, showcasing selected music from different African countries. For the 11 July edition, Mad Over Me represented Ghana alongside tracks from Cabo Verde, Mauritius, Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon, Sierra Leone, Morocco, Nigeria and other parts of the continent.

The BBC World Service recognition adds to Lali X Lola’s growing international profile. The duo have previously received editorial coverage from Voice of America and OkayAfrica, and are winners of the 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) Music for Good award.

Selection for DJ Edu’s BBC World Service playlist places the Ghanaian duo among a curated group of artists highlighted for listeners across Africa and the BBC’s international audience.
