Jordan Ayew has expressed his gratitude to Leicester City for their determination to secure his transfer, as he reunites with manager Steve Cooper at the King Power Stadium.
The former Crystal Palace forward signed a two-year deal with the Foxes on Friday, with the Eagles receiving £5 million for the move.
Speaking on the transfer, the 32-year-old Ghana international said, “I’m very happy to be here, and I’m proud. I want to thank the Club as they fought hard to bring me here – it happened quickly, and I’m so happy to be here. As a player, when you hear that the manager wants you, it just makes you want to come and work under him and to try to improve.”

Ayew, now joining his fourth Premier League club, brings a wealth of experience to Leicester as they aim to retain their place in the top flight after winning the Championship last season.
The former Olympic Marseille has played for Aston and Swansea City in the past and is expected to increase his tally of appearances as well as goals and assists.
Internationally, Ayew is also recognised as one of Ghana’s most important players having featured for the Black Stars more than 100 times in a space of 14 years.
The Foxes, under the leadership of Enzo Maresca, are determined to solidify their position in the Premier League, and Ayew’s arrival is seen as a key part of that mission.
After their 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur in their season opener, Leicester City will face Fulham on Saturday in their next Premier League fixture.
