Bernard Allotey Jacobs has expressed worrisome concerns over the violent clashes at some centers in the ongoing limited registration exercise.

The EC registration exercise which began on Tuesday, May 7 has seen some participants engaging in brawls at some registration centers.

The perpetrators were spotted wielding guns and other offensive items to cause chaos at the centers.

Touching on the issue during Peace FM’s flagship programme “Kokrokoo”, Allotey Jacobs narrated how the political parties benefit from the violence, stating most of these riots are incited by politicians.

“The limited registration and the registration itself, it’s been full of violence. We don’t learn,” he stated.

The former NDC Central Regional Chairman feared the consequences of these violent clashes, stating if care is not taken the December 7 elections will become “each one for himself; God for us all”.

“We are not safe as a country,” he hollered, revealing some of the ringleaders aren’t even Ghanaians.
