President John Dramani Mahama has inspected ongoing construction works on a new cardiology centre at the Tamale Teaching Hospital as part of his #ResettingGhana Tour of the Northern Region.
The project is being developed under the MahamaCares (Ghana Medical Trust Fund) initiative and is aimed at strengthening specialised healthcare delivery in Ghana.
The cardiology centre is expected to improve the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions while reducing the burden on patients who currently travel long distances to access advanced cardiac care.
During the inspection, the President reiterated government’s commitment to investing in modern health infrastructure to improve access to quality healthcare and enhance health outcomes across the country.
