Police in the Ashanti Region are investigating a fatal altercation in Offinso Agyimpra that left one man dead following a dispute reportedly linked to a woman.
According to reports, the incident occurred around midnight on May 1, 2026, when Kwabena Anokye allegedly went to the residence of Akwasi Anyom and forced his way inside through a window.
The confrontation is said to have centred on a woman identified as Adwubi, who previously had a child with the deceased but is now in a relationship with Anyom.
Reports indicate that Anokye demanded that Adwubi return to him, leading to a heated argument. The situation escalated into a physical struggle after the woman reportedly fled the scene.
During the altercation, Anokye was killed, while Anyom sustained machete injuries.
Anyom was rushed to a hospital for treatment and has since been discharged. Authorities say he is currently assisting with ongoing investigations.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at a morgue for autopsy and further examination as part of the investigative process.
