Medeama head coach Ibrahim Tanko has credited a solid pre-season campaign for the club’s successful Ghana Premier League title triumph, praising his players for their discipline and commitment ahead of the campaign.Speaking after his side sealed the championship with a 5-2 win over Heart of Lions, Tanko reflected on the foundation laid long before the competitive action began.”It was really a tough season. When we started with our pre-season in Abidjan, I must say the boys comported themselves very well. We took a lot of experience from Abidjan, and when we came here, we had this Nsenkyire Cup, which helped us a lot because we were not in the top four. So I think we prepared very well,” Tanko said. The coach also extended his appreciation to everyone involved in the club’s success, from the playing body to management and supporters.”I congratulate the boys. Not only them, the management, the president, the board everyone played his part, and we thank them all,” he added.Medeama’s triumph marks only the second league title in the club’s history and secures them a spot in next season’s CAF Champions League. For Tanko, the emphasis on early preparation and collective effort proved the difference in a highly competitive campaign.
