Ghanaian midfielder Micheal Kyei has joined Al-Etisalat SC from Al-Dhahra, completing a move that takes the 26-year-old to a new club on 12 August 2026.
Kyei plays in central midfield and joins the Iraqi side after one season with Al-Dhahra. He moved to the Libyan club from Ghanaian side Asante Kotoko on 1 October 2025, having left on a free transfer.
The transfer brings an end to Kyeis time at Al-Dhahra, where he spent the 2025-26 campaign before switching clubs. The move is the latest step in a career that has taken him between Ghanaian and North African football.
Before joining Al-Dhahra, Kyei represented Asante Kotoko. He had arrived at the Ghanaian club from WAFA SC on 3 September 2023, adding domestic experience before moving abroad.
Kyeis career record includes 73 appearances in the Premier League, with two goals and one assist. He has also made 17 appearances in the Libyan Premier League.
A right-footed midfielder, Kyei stands 1.74m tall and will now continue his career with Al-Etisalat SC. His arrival gives the club a Ghanaian central midfielder with experience in both domestic and Libyan competition.
Kyeis move to Al-Etisalat SC was completed on 12 August 2026.
