The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has issued a stern warning against the submission of forged or false documents for visa authentication.
In a statement released on October 14, 2024, the Ministry stated that such actions are punishable under law.
“The presentation of forged or fake documents is punishable under sections 158, 159, 166, 169 of the Criminal and Offences Act 1961 (Act 29).” The statement added
The Ministry emphasized that individuals caught presenting forged documents will be handed over to the police for prosecution. It has therefore urged the public to take note and comply by ensuring that all documents submitted for visa applications are genuine and accurate.
