Minister of State Designate at the Office of the President in charge of Local Government and Decentralization, O.B. Amoah, has appealed to the Minority and all Stakeholders, to channel all proposals regarding the EC`s Proposed CI to the appropriate authority, rather than bastardizing the process.

He said having an entrenched position does not augur well for the democracy of the country.

The Member of Parliament  (MP) for South Dayi, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, said the EC should listen to voice of reasoning and amend the CI so that no Ghanaian is disenfranchised in the Proposed CI.

He said in writing the law, the EC must be mindful of those in the hinterland.

The Director of Electoral Services, at the EC, Dr. Serebour Quarcoo, expressed confidence in the Guarantor system of the National Identification Authority.
