In a surprising turn of events, Mohammed Kudus has found himself embroiled in a heated social media spat, with fans disappointed by his recent performance on the pitch. The flashpoint occurred following Ghana’s games against Mali and the Central African Republic, where Kudus faced significant criticism for what many perceived as underwhelming performances not up to his usual high standards.

The talented midfielder, known for his exceptional skills and quick-footed plays, couldn’t hold back in responding to the criticism on his “X” page, even resorting to some uncultured comments such as “Stfu.” Kudus’s reaction has raised eyebrows and sparked a broader conversation about the pressures athletes face from ardent supporters. His response, uncharacteristically sharp, is seen as a reflection of the growing tension between frustrated fans and sports personalities in the age of social media.

The situation came to a head during the match against the Central African Republic. Fans took to social media to express their dissatisfaction, accusing Kudus of holding onto the ball too long and failing to pass it quickly to his teammates.

One pointed comment from a user named Wan Prince stated, “Mohammed Kudus needs to be talked to; what kind of selfishness and unnecessary ball control is that?” Kudus, clearly perturbed by the criticism, shot back with a contentious reply, “Come and talk to me yourself.”

The exchange didn’t stop there. Another frustrated fan, Steeze, entered the fray, saying, “You people for talking Kudus the truth. He’s not Messi, nor is he Ronaldo. He should stop doing too much and release the ball quickly.” Kudus responded curtly with, “Masa Stfu.”.

Over the past few years, Kudus has been one of the pivotal figures in the Black Stars, consistently delivering high-quality performances and showcasing his flair on the international stage. His recent dip in form, while noticeable, is not uncommon in a sport laden with highs and lows.

Regardless, Kudus remains a central figure in Ghanaian football, and much is expected from him as he continues to develop and mature both on and off the field.
