MTN Ghana has officially announced the removal of the 1% Electronic Transfer Levy (E-Levy) on all Mobile Money (MoMo) transactions.

This decision follows President John Dramani Mahama’s recent push for legislative reforms aimed at scrapping multiple taxes, including the E-Levy, Betting Tax, and Emissions Tax.

The move aligns with the NDC’s broader commitment to easing the financial burden on Ghanaians.

With the elimination of the E-Levy, MTN MoMo users can now enjoy cost-free transactions without the extra levy, making mobile money transfers more convenient and affordable.
