
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced MTN Ghana as the headline sponsor of the second edition of the Elite U-19 Championship, reinforcing its commitment to youth football development.The tournament is scheduled to take place in August at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram. It will feature 10 Regional Football Association (RFA) U-19 select teams from across the country.The competition is expected to provide a platform for Ghana’s most promising young footballers to showcase their talents in front of the GFA Technical Directorate, national youth team coaches, scouts and representatives of professional clubs.The Elite U-19 Championship has become a key component of the GFA’s long-term player development strategy, serving as an important pathway for identifying and nurturing talent for the country’s national youth teams.MTN Ghana’s sponsorship is expected to further enhance the competition by providing the support needed to improve its organisation and strengthen its role in developing the next generation of Ghanaian footballers.
