Gospel Music icon Great Ampong has denied insulting the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress [NDC] John Dramani Mahama

Great Ampong who is an ardent supporter of the ruling New Patriotic Party[NPP] is currently out with a campaign song titled ‘Emmoa Asem Nkoaa’.

Since the song’s release, many have interpreted it as an insult to the flagbearer of the NDC. But speaking on Property FM, Ampong stated that ‘Emmoa Asem Nkoaa’ is not an insult but an indication of what the former president has been saying during his campaign tour.

“The message behind my song Emmoa Asem Nkoaaa is not an insult to the former president or NDC members but it’s part of our Akan language…I’m trying to say that anything that the former president says is about food and animals just like he recently said in Accra that when we want Kenkey to eat you say digitalization,” he said

The ‘Emmoa Asem Nkoaa’ crooner explained extensively, “So you can see that his promises are all about food and meat and so that’s why I did that song that the world is moving forward in high tech, not discotic”.
