‘My eyes don see Shege, happy to be alive – Davido reflects on his career on 32nd birthday

Nigerian Afrobeats musician, David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, is set to celebrate his 32nd birthday today, Thursday, November 21, 2024.

The ‘Unavailable’ hitmaker reflected on his journey and challenges encountered as a musician through all these years and expressed gratitude to his maker and fans via a post on his X (Formally Twitter) page.

“Big 32 soon! Omo, God is good. Happy to be alive! My eyes don see shege! But steady my fans dey shout shekpe!” he wrote, acknowledging the ups and downs of his life.

As reported on Monday that,  as part of his tradition of giving back to the community, Davido announced a ₦300m donation to support orphanages and a charity focused on combating drug abuse among young people across Nigeria.

This act of kindness highlights his longstanding commitment to giving back and supporting vulnerable communities.

Davido is also celebrating his birthday in grand style with the “Davido & Friends Birthday Concert” at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, USA.

The event scheduled for November 21, 2024, coincides with the 5th anniversary of Davido’s breakthrough album ‘A Good Time’.

Tickets for the highly anticipated show are almost sold out. Sharing his excitement two days before his birthday, Davido posted, “Celebrating the 5th anniversary of A GOOD TIME Album!! Tickets are almost sold out!!! See you there!!”

The ‘Feel’ hitmaker recently released the latest song, ‘Awuke’ featuring YG Marley.
