Bishop Salifu Amoako, Founder and General Overseer of Alive Chapel International, has addressed the tragic accident involving his 16-year-old son that took place on October 12, 2024, in East Legon, resulting in the deaths of two young girls.

Speaking to his congregation on October 20, 2024, the Bishop urged the public not to jump to conclusions, insisting that the accident was not intentional.

In a moment that left some bewildered, he firmly declared, “My son did not carry a gun to kill anybody. He involved himself in a terrible accident, and I am not the one who did it, nor his mother. It is my name; that is why people are talking.” The statement, a startling mix of defiance and exasperation, seemed to ignore the unimaginable loss of life, instead focusing on his personal frustration with the public’s reaction.

The accident, a collision between a Jaguar driven by his son and a Honda Acura, led to a catastrophic fire that resulted in the girls’ deaths.

Yet, the Bishop’s response, almost dismissive of the gravity of the situation, raised even more questions. He urged people to stop speculating and allow the truth to emerge, but his bewildering stance has only fueled further debate about the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
