Ghanaian music sensation Black Sherif has firmly rejected allegations suggesting that he inflates his streaming numbers, describing such accusations as baseless and insulting.

In an interview with Graphic Showbiz on June 9, 2025, Black Sherif attributed his global success to hard work and authenticity.

His sophomore album, Iron Boy, has achieved remarkable success, with six of its tracks occupying the top six spots on Boomplay and Apple Music Ghana’s Top 100 charts. The album debuted at number six on Spotify’s UK Top Debut Albums chart, reached number 10 on the Billboard World Albums Chart, and amassed over 80 million streams on Audiomack.

Addressing critics who question his rapid rise, Black Sherif stated, “My success is 100 per cent organic. I put my blood, sweat, and tears into every note.”

He emphasised that his music’s connection with fans stems from authenticity, not artificial boosts, adding, “Anyone who thinks I buy fake streams doesn’t know my work ethic or passion.”

Black Sherif’s achievements have not gone unnoticed. He recently became the first Ghanaian artiste to surpass 500 million streams on Boomplay, a testament to his growing influence in the music industry.

Despite the success, Black Sherif remains grounded, attributing his accomplishments to the unwavering support of his fans and his commitment to producing authentic music.
