Multifaceted media personality, creative host, and concept curator Nanz Scripts has announced the launch of a dynamic new web series, “Joyride with Nanz.”

The show under her creative media platform, Northside Hub, is scheduled to premiere on Sunday, August 9th at 6 pm. The four-part debut season promises a refreshing, high-energy spin on the classic carpool interview format.

The show takes the carpool karaoke format and strips out the performance pressure. Each episode follows Nanz driving through the streets of Accra with a guest who takes over the aux cord for the ride. The guests aren’t limited to musicians as Nanz opens the passenger seat to creatives across disciplines, using their playlists as the entry point into conversation.

Built around the drive itself rather than a formal interview structure, for Nanz, the format’s pull is in what music does to memory. “Sometimes you forget a song and hear it again, and it takes you all the way back. That is the reason for Joyride,” she shared. Each ride is built around songs that pull a guest back to a specific moment, and the hope is that viewers end up tracing their own memories alongside them.

“Joyride with Nanz” is the latest addition to a slate Nanz has built at Northside Hub, the media platform she founded to center creatives and entertainment. Her flagship show, “The Debut Show,” rebranded earlier this year to “The Debut: Can You Come To The Phone?” narrowing its focus to musicians. A new music game show, “Pass The Aux, Pass The Plate,” is set to follow in the fourth quarter.

Across the shows, panels, and live EP launches she’s hosted, Nanz has kept a consistent throughline, interviews don’t have to be stiff to be substantial. “Joyride” is the clearest version of that idea yet: four episodes, one aux cord, and Accra’s streets as the backdrop.

The first episode drops August 9th on Northside Hub’s YouTube channel, here!.
