The National Film Authority (NFA) has a new governing board with a renewed mandate to reform and grow Ghana’s film and audiovisual industry.
Ivan Quashigah, a renowned filmmaker, chairs the board, which was inaugurated by Minister of Tourism,Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie in Accra on Monday August 4.
She challenged the board to focus on professionalism, investment attraction, and international collaborations.
Board members include Kafui Danku Pitcher, Oladele Kwaku Aribike, Mabel Cudjoe, Emmanuel Ofori, Dr. Rebecca Ohene-Asah, Augustine Abbey, George Bosompem, Aseye Tamakloe, Zakaria Abdulai, Rukiyatu Naa Ayikaley Ankrah, and Alejandro Peterson Davids White-Cross.
The NFA is charged with regulating and promoting Ghana’s film sector under the Film Act.
