NDC Launches Campaign In Ofoase-Ayirebi Constituency

The National Democratic Congress in the Ofoase-Ayirebi Constituency in the Eastern Region Of Ghana launched its campaign at Ofoase Lorry Station.

Hon. Mark Oliver Kevor, the NDC Eastern Regional Chairman, graced the program and urged the constituents to vote for the party’s Presidential Candidate, John Dramani Mahama, and Parliamentary Candidate, Rev. Alfred Osei Poku, in the December 7 general elections. He said voting for the NDC would mean eradicating corruption and transforming Ghana’s economy positively.

Hon. Tom Kenneth Budu, a former Akyemansa District Chief Executive enumerated the physical and economic developmental projects executed for the Constituency when the NDC ruled Ghana under the leadership of late former presidents Jerry John Rawlings, and Professor John Evans Atta Mills. He also touted the marvelous and visible works the NDC did during former president John Dramani Mahama’s regime as president, although Ghanaians could not renew their mandate after his first term. He assured the constituents of the NDC’s plans to boost economic activities and infrastructural developments in the area.

The former Akyemansa District Chief Executive said the NDC built the two-story District Assembly Office, the DCE Bungalow, the Police Station, the Fire Service station, the Courts, the Judges Quarters, etc.

He also said the then NDC government built 6 units of classroom blocks for all the towns in the District and constructed a market square and toilet facilities for every town in the Akyemansa District.

Rev. Alfred Osei Poku, the NDC Parliamentary Candidate for the Ofoase-Ayirebi Constituency, promised to continue his good work when elected as their legislator.

He also mentioned the Ultramodern Hospital in Akyem Ayirebi, Schools, Pure Water factory, and Restaurants, as some of his existing contributions to improving the district’s socio-economic growth.

He revealed that he had bought two fire tankers from Germany and was in the process of shipping them to the District to assist in dealing with emergency fire outbreaks.

Hon. Buharry, the NDC Constituency Chairman, also assured the constituents of the NDC’s aim to recruit more teachers and health professionals to enhance productivity in the health and education sectors.

The NDC Constituency Communication’s Director, Hon. Shamuna Surage, charged the youths in the Constituency to vote for NDC so that he could do more for them as he had been doing.
