A security guard identified as Obonto, stationed at Mim Senior High School in the Ahafo Region, has been caught red-handed of attempting to sexually exploit a female student.
According to reports circulating online, the incident occurred after the student returned to the school premises following an unauthorised outing.
The guard is said to have threatened to report the student to school authorities for sneaking out of school unless she agreed to his sexual demands.
The student alerted some male colleagues following Obonto’s demands. The students then confronted Obonto at his residence over the allegations.
A video circulating on social media shows the students physically assaulting the security guard during the confrontation.
The incident has generated concern online, particularly over allegations that a school security official may have attempted to use a student’s disciplinary situation to pressure her into a sexual encounter.
However, the allegations have not been independently verified, and it remains unclear whether the school authorities or the Ghana Police Service have formally investigated the matter.
