The newly elected executives of the Ghana Taekwondo Federation (GTF) have officially been sworn into office, with Ghana Olympic Committee President Richard Akpokavie administering the oath at a ceremony held following the federation’s elective congress.
Frederick Lartey Otu was officially retained as President after earning another mandate to lead the federation. His re-election reflects the confidence members have in his leadership as Ghana Taekwondo looks to build on recent progress.
The swearing-in ceremony marked the formal commencement of the new administration’s tenure, with the executives expected to steer the development of taekwondo across the country over the next four years.
Under Otu’s leadership, the federation is expected to continue promoting grassroots development, strengthening athlete welfare, enhancing coaching and officiating standards, and improving Ghana’s competitiveness at major international competitions.
The new executives are also expected to work closely with the Ghana Olympic Committee and other stakeholders to further elevate the profile of taekwondo in Ghana.
