The international friendly between Nigeria’s Super Falcons and Ghana’s Black Queens, scheduled for Saturday, July 18, 2026, in Casablanca, Morocco, has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.

Sources indicate the fixture was called off because Nigeria currently does not have enough players in camp to honour the match.

The friendly was expected to serve as a crucial preparatory game for both teams ahead of upcoming international assignments, offering the technical teams an opportunity to assess their squads and fine-tune tactics.

The cancellation comes as a setback for the Black Queens, who had planned to use the encounter to build momentum and improve match fitness.

Officials from both football associations are yet to issue an official statement regarding the cancellation or indicate whether the match will be rescheduled.

Despite the setback, Ghana’s preparations are expected to continue as planned, with the technical team focusing on maintaining the squad’s readiness for future competitive fixtures. The Black Queens remain in camp as they continue their build-up to their next international assignment.
