The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed Nigeria as the host nation for the upcoming CAF Ordinary General Assembly.The annual gathering will bring together football leaders from across Africa as representatives of CAFs 54 member associations converge to deliberate on key matters shaping the future of the sport on the continent.Following a virtual CAF Executive Committee meeting, chaired by president, Patrice Motsepe, on Friday, October 2, 2026, this years CAF Ordinary General Assembly has been scheduled to take place in Nigeria on November 21.Nigerias hosting of the assembly means the country will play host to another major CAF event in 2026, having also been confirmed as the venue for the CAF Awards later in December.The General Assembly is scheduled for Saturday, November 21, while the CAF Awards will follow in Lagos on Monday, December 7.The November meeting is expected to be a key moment for CAF as the organisation continues to implement reforms, review its competitions, and discuss new initiatives aimed at taking African football to a higher level.The latest decisions were part of a series of resolutions approved by the CAF EXCO concerning CAF competitions and the organisations forward calendar.
