
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed Nigeria as the host of this years CAF Awards, as the continents football governing body finalises its calendar for the year.Following a virtual CAF Executive Committee meeting, chaired by president, Patrice Motsepe, on Friday, October 2, 2026, the awards ceremony has been scheduled to take place on December 7 in Lagos.Last year’s event saw Morocco and Paris Saint Germain star Achraf Hakimi and Al Hilal and Moroccos Ghizlane Chebbak claim top honours.The prestigious ceremony will bring together some of the biggest names in African football to celebrate outstanding achievements across the continent.The CAF Awards recognise players, coaches and other key personalities who have made significant contributions to African football during the year.Lagos will therefore take centre stage in December as CAF celebrates another year of excellence and achievement in African football.Football fans across the continent eagerly await the 2026 CAF Awards ceremony, which promises to be a grand celebration of African football excellence.
