The Member of Parliament (MP) for North Dayi Constituency in the Volta region, Madam Joycelyn Tetteh, has been honoured by the Women’s Choice Africa Awards organisers for her distinguished leadership and enormous contributions to enhance her constituents’ well-being.
The North Dayi Lawmaker has been carrying out initiatives such as the provision of educational infrastructure, mechanised borehole water systems, promotion of girl child education, and support for women in business with some capital, among others.
According to the organisers, the initiatives carried out by Madam Tetteh have impacted her constituents positively. Thus, the honorary award was bestowed on her during the 2023 edition of the Women’s Choice Africa Awards.
The event held at the Gala Event Centre saw great female achievers from various sectors in attendance.
Speaking in an interview with GBC GHANA ONLINE after the awards, the North Dayi MP said she was grateful to God for giving her the strength to serve her people.
She dedicated the award to her hard-working constituency executives and the constituents for supporting her activities all the years she has been their representative in Ghana’s Parliament.
She also recognised the collaborative efforts of some Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), individuals, and families, which have brought so much relief to the good people of the North Dayi constituency.
