Obuasi: GNFS rescues newborn dumped in public latrine

The Obuasi Fire Station has rescued a day-old baby boy who has been dumped in a public latrine at Kwameduakrom, Obuasi East.

According to the Obuasi Fire Station, they received a distress call at 10:30 PM Sunday evening. The crew, led by Station Officer II Appiah Kubi arrived on scene promptly within minutes and descended bravely into the laterine by means of an extension ladder to successfully rescue the baby alive at 11:31 PM.

The child was then rushed to the AngloGold Ashanti Hospital for medical attention.
