Lawrence Ofori, a Ghanaian-born chef in America, has opened a new restaurant known as Ofori’s World Cuisine.
Local media in Peekskill have covered news of Ofori’s new restaurant due to his ‘celebrity’ status, having been a former contestant on ‘Chopped‘.
Ofori’s World Cuisine will feature the food of Ghana-born Chef Lawrence, who made his first TV appearance on the Food Network series “Chopped.”
He was a finalist on Season 36, Episode 3, called “Espresso Express.”

According to the Ghanaian, his grandmother’s cuisine ignited his passion and love for fresh, simple, yet flavorful food.
The restaurant on 982 Main St. will be open seven days a week.
