
Okwawu United secured their second victory in the opening three matches of the season with a narrow 1-0 win over Attram De Visser SC at Carl Reindorf Park on Sunday.
Derrick Agyapong scored the decisive goal four minutes into the second half, converting from the penalty spot after the two sides had gone into the interval level at 0-0.
Attram De Visser SC were unable to find a response as Okwawu United protected their advantage to collect all three points and continue their positive start in Zone Three.
Great Olympics beaten by True Democracy
Great Olympics difficult beginning to the UMB Division One League continued with a 2-1 home defeat by True Democracy FC at the Tuba AstroTurf on Sunday.
The visitors took the lead in the 29th minute when Adjei Martei produced an outstanding finish from outside the penalty area.
True Democracy FC carried their advantage into half-time and extended it 13 minutes after the restart. Cephas Atakli found the net with an impressive strike from the edge of the 18-yard box to make it 2-0.
Great Olympics responded five minutes later, with Emmanuel Amamu reducing the deficit in the 63rd minute. They could not complete the comeback, however, as True Democracy held on for an important away victory.
Golden Kick end Semper Fis winning run
Semper Fi FC dropped points for the first time in their first three matches after being held to a 1-1 draw by Golden Kick SC at the Tuba AstroTurf on Saturday.
Semper Fi went ahead in the 19th minute when Richard Sedem Martins put through his own goal.
Golden Kick SC improved after the interval and restored parity in the 76th minute. Substitute Edward Bentum scored with a superb free-kick from the edge of the 18-yard box to ensure the points were shared.
The result means Semper Fi remain unbeaten after three matches, although they were unable to maintain their winning record.
