Great Olympics ended their winless run on Thursday as they beat Asante Kotoko 2-0 to improve their chances of avoiding relegation.
The Wonder Club earned a well-deserved 2-0 win against the defending champions, propelling them out of the relegation zone and igniting their bid to stay in the Ghana Premier League.
Michael Osei scored the opening goal of the match in the eighth minute, combining with former Kotoko defender Christopher Nettey to find the back of the net. Osei headed home a lofted cross from the full-back to give the Dade Boys the advantage.

Olympics doubled their lead six minutes before half-time through Emmanuel Akesseh, who scored his very first goal in the Ghanaian top-flight.
Kotoko goalkeeper Federick Asare failed to save a close-range shot from Osei, and Akesseh pounced on the rebound to slot home the second goal for the hosts.

The win saw Olympics jump two places to the 14th position on the league standings with 35 points, just one point above the last three teams.
Meanwhile, Kotoko remain eight points adrift of the top spot occupied by Aduana, and their hopes of defending the league title are gradually diminishing.
