Opinion leader Nana Aba Anamoah descends on Kurt Okraku-led GFA following Ghana U23 elimination from Olympic qualifiers — Ghana Sports Online

Ghanaian media personality and journalist, Nana Aba Anamoah, recently took to Twitter to express her disappointment and frustration with the failures of the national teams under the leadership of Kurt Okraku.

The popular television show host commands over 2 million followers on Twitter alone and is regarded as one of the top opinion leaders in the West African nation.

In a series of tweets, she openly criticized the administration’s handling of Ghanaian football and highlighted the embarrassing performance of the national under-23 team at the ongoing AFCON U23 tournament in Morocco.

She highlighted their failure to advance beyond the group stages at the AFCON U23 tournament, an outcome that many Ghanaians found embarrassing echoing the sentiments of a majority of Ghanaians who believe that the country’s football is in dire need of improvement.

In her Twitter posts, Anamoah expressed shock at the apparent lack of concern shown by the football authorities regarding the state of Ghanaian football.

She emphasized that the embarrassment was suffocating and directly addressed Kurt Okraku, the president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), stating that his administration has not “overachieved” as some have claimed.

Instead, she accused those praising Okraku of being greedy, self-seeking, and dishonest individuals who fail to acknowledge the crisis faced by Ghanaian football.

Nana Aba Anamoah, who is currently the General Manager of GHOne TV and Starr 103.5 FM is also the ambassador for women’s football in Ghana and a member of the Women’s Premier League committee in Ghana.

She’s also a football fanatic who supports Manchester United and Accra Great Olympics. Anamoah’s tweets serve as a call to action for Kurt Okraku and his administration to acknowledge the concerns raised by the majority of Ghanaians and take concrete steps toward resolving the crisis in Ghanaian football.

The consistent failures of the national teams demand immediate attention and efforts to identify the underlying problems, improve player development, and implement better strategies to enhance performance and restore Ghana’s footballing reputation.
