Osasuna defender Rockson Yeboah has earned his first senior Ghana call-up after making a strong start to his career in Spain.The 22-year-old is among nine late additions made by Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz to the squad for the upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Cote dIvoire and The Gambia, as well as the international friendly against Morocco.Yeboah joined Osasuna from Swedish side IFK Gteborg during the summer transfer window, signing a five-year contract in a deal reportedly worth 3 million.Despite arriving late in the transfer window, the Ghanaian defender has already made three La Liga appearances for Osasuna this season.His early involvement at the Spanish club has now earned him his maiden senior call-up to the Black Stars, giving him an opportunity to make his international debut under Queiroz.Yeboah is among the nine players added to the squad following medical uncertainties involving some players. The other additions are Jonas Adjetey, Alidu Seidu, Ebenezer Annan, Rahim Ibrahim, Brandon Thomas-Asante, Mohammed Fuseini, Benjamin Tetteh and Felix Afena-Gyan.The Black Stars opened camp in Accra on Monday, September 21, and will continue preparations ahead of their first qualifier.Ghana will travel to Bouake to face Cote dIvoire on Thursday, September 24, before hosting The Gambia three days later.The Black Stars will also face Morocco in an international friendly on October 4.
