Both sides had a single big chance, but it was Sinclairs effort that counted.The visitors hopes of finding an equaliser took a major blow late on when English-Ghanaian forward Owura Edwards was shown a straight red card in the 86th minute. His dismissal left Colchester with little time to fight back, and the frustration was clear among the travelling fans.Accrington held firm through seven minutes of added time to claim the win, while Colchester will aim to bounce back against Bristol Rovers on September 20.
