Legon Cities have made a significant coaching change by appointing Paa Kwesi Fabin as their new head coach, taking over from Maxwell Konadu, who has moved to Nsoatreman FC.

Fabin, who recently concluded his tenure with Aduana Stars, has enthusiastically agreed to lead the Accra-based club into the upcoming season. He will begin his role on August 1.

Kwabena Onyina Asenso, the deputy CEO of Legon Cities, expressed the club’s excitement at securing an experienced coach like Fabin, who boasts an impressive track record of success with various prominent clubs in the Ghanaian top flight.

Asenso, speaking about the appointment, said, “We are excited to bring in an experienced coach like Fabin. He is a winner who has coached many big clubs at the highest level. We will provide him with all the necessary support to succeed here. We are looking forward to having a wonderful season together.”

With a wealth of experience coaching in the Ghanaian football scene, Paa Kwesi Fabin has led respected clubs such as Asante Kotoko SC, Hearts of Oak, Inter Allies, Heart of Lions, Wassaman United, and Aduana. Additionally, he also steered the Ghana U17 national team to the FIFA World Cup in 2017, held in India. Notably, Fabin also served as the coach of the Uganda U17 national team from April 2019 to December 2019.
