New Legon Cities coach Paa Kwesi Fabin says he is determined to make a significant impact in the upcoming season with the Accra-based club after he was unveiled on Tuesday.

Fabin has taken the Legon Cities job, replacing former Ghana coach Maxwell Konadu, after quitting Aduana Stars. Fabin led Aduana to second place in last season’s league, which was more impressive than his current club’s 9th position under Konadu, who has joined Nsoatreman.

With a focus on nurturing young talents and transforming Legon Cities into a competitive force within the Premier League, Fabin expressed his ambitions at his unveiling.

He emphasised, “Any manager goes to a team and the aim is to improve upon the team. The team finished 9th last season and we want to improve on that in the upcoming season. So we want to see improvement in all areas of the team.”

Bringing a wealth of experience to his new role, Fabin has previously managed renowned clubs in Ghana, including Kotoko and Aduana Stars. He has also led the Ghana U17 team. As the start of the Ghana Premier League looms on September 15, 2023, Legon Cities is gearing up to host Karela United in their opening match.
