Patrick Agyemang produced a powerhouse centre-forward display as Derby County beat Swansea City 2-0 to strengthen their Championship promotion push. The American-Ghanaian forward capped his performance with Derbys second goal on 67 minutes, darting across the box to steer Callum Elders low cross into the far corner and kill off the contest after Rhian Brewster had broken the deadlock just after half-time.Agyemang was at the heart of everything Derby did well in attack. Constantly stretching Swanseas back line, he was the most fouled player on the pitch, brought down five times as defenders struggled to contain his direct running. He also won a match-high 11 duels, giving Derby an outlet to relieve pressure and start counters whenever they played forward early. Behind him, a disciplined back four and assured goalkeeping from Josh Vickers ensured the visitors 72% possession never translated into goals. In the 2025/26 Championship season, Agyemang has now made 28 appearances, scoring 10 goals and providing 3 assists.Derbys next test comes away to Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday, February 21, as they look to keep their strong run of form going.
