Bibiani Gold Stars coach Petros Koukouras has vowed to maintain his team’s fighting spirit as they prepare to face Samartex in the Ghana Premier League on November 1.The Miners head into the encounter looking to build on their 2-1 victory over Heart of Lions in matchweek eight, with Kwame Poku and Abdul Jalilu getting on the scoresheet.Despite the victory, Gold Stars remain 12th on the league table with 10 points from eight matches, a position Koukouras admits does not reflect the club’s ambitions.Speaking ahead of the Samartex encounter, the Greek tactician stressed the importance of collecting more points to improve their standing.”Well, 12th position doesn’t look good for us. So we will always go in every game to try to improve the position. The same thing we’re going to do this week. You see even last week until the last minute we had that fighting spirit and we managed to get the win in literally the last kick of the game. So we are going to try the same thing this week, ” he told Gold Stars TV.Gold Stars will take on Samartex at 3:00 pm, hoping to secure another important victory.
