Bibiani Gold Stars coach Petros Koukouras has appealed to supporters to continue backing the players as the club seeks to recover from a difficult start to the Ghana Premier League season.Gold Stars suffered a 2-0 defeat to Port City in their Matchweek 4 fixture at Duns Park, with defender Michael Abina sent off during the game. The result leaves the Bibiani-based side 16th on the league table with just three points from four matches.Ahead of Saturdays meeting with Vision FC, Koukouras acknowledged the frustration among supporters but urged them not to turn against the players during difficult moments.”Ghana fans are very result-oriented and we totally understand the pressure that they give on us because the results have not been good. But I want to ask them one thing. If they want to argue, if they want to disapprove something, they can disapprove me. But at least I want to ask them to support the players for the 90 minutes because in the last game we conceded the goal in the seventh minutes and some of them they turn against the players and that makes things even worse,” he told Bibiani Gold Stars media.Gold Stars face Vision FC at the Nii Adjei Kraku Sports Complex on Saturday at 3pm.
