Davido delivered a commanding, high-voltage performance at Weekend 2 of the Coachella, further cementing his status as a global ambassador for Afrobeats.

Returning to the stage after an already memorable debut weekend, the Nigerian superstar built on his earlier momentum with an electrifying set that kept the crowd fully engaged from start to finish. His performance underscored not only his star power, but also the growing international influence of African music on some of the world’s biggest stages.

Davido raised the stakes for his second outing by closing his set with a surprise appearance from Jamaican hitmaker Shenseea. The pair thrilled fans with a crowd-hyping finale, performing their collaboration “R&B” to roaring applause.

The moment followed Weekend 1, where Davido had already made waves by bringing out fellow Nigerian star Adekunle Gold as a surprise guest — a move that set the tone for his dynamic Coachella run.

Support for the artist extended well beyond the stage. Ahead of his Weekend 2 performance, South African pop sensation Tyla was spotted showing her support, while Davido was joined by his wife, Chioma Rowland, and members of his team who flew in to witness the milestone moment.

As the only Afrobeats act on this year’s lineup, Davido carried the genre’s momentum proudly, delivering a set that celebrated both his illustrious catalogue and the wider global rise of Afrobeats. From timeless hits like “Fall” to fan favourites, his performance stood as a powerful reminder of the genre’s growing dominance on the international stage.
