The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has officially unveiled Pierre Pearson as the newest assistant coach of the Black Queens, bolstering the technical team ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
Pearson, an experienced tactician, expressed his delight after joining the national women’s team and said he is eager to contribute to Ghana’s campaign at the continental tournament.
Speaking after his unveiling, the new assistant coach shared his excitement about settling into camp and working alongside the technical staff and players as preparations intensify for WAFCON 2026.
He highlighted the positive atmosphere within the squad and pledged to bring his experience and expertise to help the Black Queens achieve success in Morocco.
Pearson’s appointment is expected to strengthen the team’s technical setup as Ghana targets a strong performance at the tournament. The Black Queens have stepped up preparations in camp, with the coaching staff focused on fine-tuning the squad ahead of the start of the competition later this month.
