The Central East Regional Police Command has arrested three suspects in connection with the alleged murder of a 34-year-old mobile money vendor, Christian Amponsah, at a guest house around Kasoa Second in the Central Region.

The suspects are Felicia Osei Appiah, 59, Clement Opoku Yeboah, 24, and a juvenile female whose identity has not been disclosed.

According to a statement dated October 28, 2026, and signed by the Head of Public Affairs for the Central East Region, DSP Victor Kofi Dosoo, the arrests were made on Tuesday, October 27, following a report by the manager of the guest house.

The manager reportedly told the police that the deceased and the juvenile had booked a room for two hours but failed to leave after the booking period had elapsed.

Concerned by their continued stay, the manager went to check on them and allegedly found Amponsah lying motionless in a pool of blood.

Police officers who visited the scene found the deceased lying face down, covered with bedsheets, curtains and pillows, the statement said.

His body was subsequently conveyed to the Police Hospital mortuary in Accra for preservation, identification and autopsy.

The autopsy is expected to help investigators establish the cause of death as investigations continue.

The three suspects are in police custody and are assisting with investigations.

The police said efforts were underway to conclude investigations and put the suspects before court.

The command also expressed appreciation to members of the public and other stakeholders whose information it said had assisted in the arrest of the suspects.
