FC Nania deepened Semper Fi FC’s struggles with a narrow 1–0 victory over the Zone Three title contenders at the Nania Park on Saturday, extending Semper Fi FC’s winless run to seven league matches (D4, L3). Peter Fiifi Hammond scored the decisive goal in the 30th minute, securing back-to-back league victories for FC Nania for the first time this season. The defeat saw Semper Fi FC slip to third place in the table with 30 points.
Zone Three leaders Port City FC further tightened their grip at the top of the table after opening up a commanding seven-point lead with an emphatic 4–0 away win over debutants Golden Warriors in Kukurantumi over the weekend. Eric Tibu broke the deadlock just before halftime with a calm finish. After the break, Korblah Junior doubled the lead in the 63rd minute before Benjamin Ghartey added a third just four minutes later. Korblah Junior then completed his brace in the 87th minute to wrap up the points for the leaders.
Meanwhile, former Premier League side Great Olympics climbed out of the relegation zone after edging Na God FC 3–2 in an entertaining five-goal thriller at the McDan Sports Complex in Teshie on Sunday. Na God FC struck early through Gariba Haruna’s seventh-minute opener, but Dapaah Christian Agyei responded with a brace to give Great Olympics a 2–1 lead at halftime. Shortly after the restart, Mohammed Nikoi pulled Na God FC level with a 48th-minute equaliser. However, Fredrick Akatuk snatched the winner in stoppage time to secure all three points for Great Olympics.
